The SAVAL CFI rim seal protection system is an automatic gas-based fire detection and extinguishing system for floating roof tank rim seal areas, using CF3I extinguishing gas.
The system detects fire at an early stage through thermal nozzles/detectors installed above the rim seal and releases CF3I extinguishing gas to rapidly suppress incipient rim seal fires, protecting critical hydrocarbon storage assets.
