01 Equipment Must Be Able to Get In
Bringing tank-cleaning equipment to the site does not mean work can begin as soon as it is placed beside the tank.
How equipment approaches the tank, where cleaning components enter, how piping is routed and whether lifting facilities are available all affect how the work is organised.
Some small and medium-sized tank installations have particularly limited space, with process piping, valves, equipment and other facilities already positioned around them.
If cleaning requires extensive equipment lifting and complex piping arrangements, this adds to the preparatory work and makes site coordination more demanding.
02 Manway Access Offers More Flexible Deployment
A tank manway is an important access point for equipment maintenance, personnel entry and work inside the tank.
For mechanised cleaning of small and medium-sized tanks, Tecway equipment can use the tank manway to deploy cleaning guns and other working equipment.

Compared with approaches requiring more complex tank-roof arrangements or extensive lifting, this solution can reduce some of the more complicated lifting operations, allowing greater flexibility in equipment mobilisation and on-site deployment.
03 Access Matters Even More in Internal Floating-Roof Tanks
Internal floating-roof tanks are a common application among small and medium-sized storage tanks.
The floating deck, support columns and other components inside the tank mean that, once equipment is brought in, both cleaning coverage and compatibility with the internal structure must be considered.
If installing the equipment requires removing numerous internal components, both preparation and subsequent reinstatement work will increase.
