A project site is often where technical service capability is really tested.
Whether equipment can be installed and positioned smoothly, whether the installation datum is clearly defined and whether the key operating details are properly understood all have a direct impact on assembly accuracy, workmanship and the pace of the project.
Tecway engineers recently travelled to a shipyard in eastern China to provide on-site technical support for the cargo handling system of an LNG bunkering vessel project.

01 On-site coordination to confirm installation requirements
The service focused on the site installation phase of the cargo handling system.
Installation work of this kind involves confirming the technical status of the equipment, checking assembly datums and agreeing installation details on site. Where key information is not clarified in good time, equipment installation accuracy and workmanship can be affected later on.
To keep site work moving in an orderly way, the Tecway engineering team travelled to the project together with the cargo handling system main contractor, held technical discussions with the parties involved and confirmed the requirements for equipment positioning, alignment and installation adjustment directly at the work face.
02 Hands-on guidance on the key operating points
After arriving on site, the Tecway engineers went through the installation sequence and the critical operating points in detail, based on the actual conditions of the project.
Alongside explaining the installation procedure, the engineers used practical demonstrations to help the site personnel gain a clearer understanding of the installation method, the positioning requirements and the points to watch during the work.
Where questions arose during equipment layout and placement, the team coordinated with the yard immediately, helped site personnel agree the way forward and kept the installation work in line with the technical requirements.
03 Attention to detail to safeguard installation accuracy
Installation of cargo handling system equipment places high demands on site positioning, installation datums and operating detail.
During this service the Tecway team paid particular attention to the positional accuracy of the equipment, the as-built assembly condition and the interface with follow-on work, helping the project site to consolidate the installation sequence and the key control points.
Through hands-on guidance and a clear walk-through of the installation process, site personnel gained a firmer grasp of the installation method and the critical operating points, providing a solid basis for the work that followed.
04 Successful completion and continued on-site project support
Following technical coordination, installation guidance and resolution of site issues, the equipment was installed and positioned in accordance with the applicable requirements, the installed condition met the technical specification and the site installation work was completed successfully.
From technical coordination to final positioning, and from procedural briefing to hands-on demonstration, the Tecway engineering team delivered timely and professional on-site support during the project execution phase.
On-site service is not limited to maintenance after delivery. It runs through project execution, installation and commissioning, and continued operational support.
Tecway will continue to draw on the field experience and technical service capability of its engineering team to provide shipyards, owners, ship managers and partners with professional and dependable project support.
Tecway engineers — always on site.
